Located in a quiet village above Savignac de Miremont, this old stone farmhouse sits in pleasant grounds and boasts views across the scenic forest and valley below. In front of the house is a graveled courtyard with outdoor dining furniture. To the side and just below is the swimming pool with lounging and additional dining table, the perfect vantage point for enjoying the tranquil country views.
The classic Perigourdine house features a warm honey-colored stone façade, wood shutters and gabled red tile roof. Inside, it has been well restored with quality materials and includes dark wood-beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls and stone tile floors. The décor combines comfortable contemporary furnishings with antique accents along with quality appliances, ceramic fixtures and tilework.
Off the entry hall to the left is a spacious open-plan living-dining room with exposed stone walls and beamed ceiling. In the sitting area are two tan leather sofas and armchairs grouped around a square wood coffee table by the fireplace. Occasional tables, chests, stylish lamps and sconces are warm accents to this welcoming room. Behind the sitting area and the staircase is the dining area with wood table that extends to seat up to 8 people and ample upholstered chairs. French doors from both the living and dining areas open to the gravel terrace.
Off the entry to the right is the fully equipped kitchen with breakfast table. Totally remodeled, it has sleek cream-colored cabinets, granite counters and all appliances.
There are a total of 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The bedrooms are attractively decorated with pretty bedcovers, bedside tables, lamps and ample wardrobe space. The bathrooms are all new and include fine ceramic tilework and heated towel bars. A master suite with queen bed and bathroom with both shower and bath are on the ground level. Next door to the bedroom are separate toilet facilities.
Stairs from the living area lead to 3 more bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with showers and sinks. There are another full bathroom with toilet facilities on this level and additional separate toilet facilities.
