Location: 6 kms from Gordes, 35 kms east of Avignon

Located in the valley below the celebrated hilltop village of Gordes, this stone house sits in oak-wooded grounds of three acres. Running along the entire front of the house is a spacious terrace with covered and open areas for dining and relaxing. Set below the terrace is a stunning cascading pool with its own stone terrace and covered lounging area. The pool and grounds are beautifully landscaped with lavender and a variety of flowering plants and shrubs as well as an olive grove to one side.
Inside, the house has been designed and decorated with no expense spared. Traditional architectural features range from heavy wood beamed and vaulted ceilings to stone fireplaces and floors. All appliances and fixtures are of the highest quality. Combining muted tones with Provençal motifs and a combination of stylish modern and warm antique furnishings, the home is at once casual and elegant. And it offers every comfort and convenience, including air conditioned bedrooms.
Off the entry is a handsome living room. It is light and airy with large windows, wood beamed ceilings and white walls. Two cream-colored sofas and armchairs are grouped around a glass-topped wrought iron coffee table by an old stone fireplace. A massive wood armoire, occasional tables and lamps accent this lovely room.
Stone archways open to the country kitchen with large dining area. The kitchen is equipped with state-of-the-art appliances including a stainless steel refrigerator and Lacanche professional-level stove with gas burners, grill and large oven. Stone counters, travertine marble tilework, cream-colored cabinets and a marble-topped wrought iron island complete this haven designed for the best of cooks. Beyond is the dining room with antique refectory table and chest. French doors from the living and dining rooms open to the terraces and grounds.
There are a total of 5 bedrooms, each with ensuite bathroom. All of the bedrooms are air conditioned. In addition, the upstairs bedrooms have ceiling fans. All of the bedrooms are beautifully decorated with antique chests and armoires, side tables and lamps as well as cream-colored curtains, fine bedcovers and lovely linens. The bathrooms feature quality travertine tilework and fixtures.
On the ground floor off the living room is a king suite with fireplace and French doors to the terrace. Also on the ground level off the entry hall is a twin-bedded suite as well as additional toilet facilities. Stairs from the entry lead to three more suites, one with king bed, one with queen bed and another with twins. Also on this level to the right of the stair landing is a large den with sofas and leather easy chairs and satellite television.
