Location: 3 kms from Vence, 20 kms northwest of Nice

Located close to the lively and historic town of Vence, la Souleiade is a private villa with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The beautifully landscaped grounds feature a terraced garden with a variety of tropical flowers and plants including palm, fig and olive trees, cactus, yucca and many other flowering shrubs and plants. Down a flight of stairs below the garden is a pretty swimming pool with stone terrace. The pool uses a salt-water filtration system and can be heated on request
Adjacent to the house on the ground level is a grassy terrace. Above it off the main living level is a clay tile terrace with outdoor dining furniture and views over the valley and out to the sea. These are perfect spots for relaxing and leisurely outdoor meals.
Inside, the house (on two levels) has been well furnished with contemporary and antique pieces. And for greater comfort in warmer months, there are air conditioning units on the main living level.
Stairs from the main entrance lead down to the gracious open-plan living-dining room with white walls and terra cotta tile floors. A white leather sofa, loveseat and several easy chairs are grouped around a glass coffee table in front of the fireplace. Across the room is the dining area with rosewood table and dining chairs. French doors open to the tiled terrace and outdoor eating area. Off the living room is the fully-equipped kitchen with round wood breakfast table, dark wood cabinets and all appliances.
There are a total of 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The bedrooms are all nicely decorated with antique armoires, chests, pretty bedcovers and curtains. Off a corridor on the main living level is the master suite with king bed. The bathroom includes a tub with shower attachment, sink and toilet facilities. Stairs lead down to 3 more bedrooms and another full bathroom with shower. These bedrooms all have French doors opening to the grassy terrace.
A very attractive and comfortable home base for day trips throughout the area.
