This property is based in the Dordogne (often referred to by its ancient name “The Périgord”). Although times may have changed over the years the beautiful Dordogne landscape, in one of the most beautiful areas of France, continues to offer something to amaze and delight everyone. This ancient land, deep in the heart of sunny south-west France, is perfect holiday country; a magical place that will reward all those who choose to explore it.
Audrix is a mediaeval hilltop village just 5kms from Le Bugue with its shops, supermarkets and colourful Tuesday market. Close by is the famous ‘Gouffre de Proumeyssac’ with its caverns of stalagmites and stalactites and both the Dordogne and Vézère rivers are close by. The house is quietly situated on the edge of the village in its own large enclosed gardens with a lovely view across the Vézère valley.
The swimming pool is close to the house, ideal for keeping an eye on the children.
All the rooms are light and sunny with a comfortable sitting room and dining area which has several sets of french doors to the front garden and rear terrace. This terrace is partially covered for shady eating and overlooks the pool. The fitted kitchen is particularly well equipped and has a small breakfast area. The ensuite master bedroom is downstairs with French doors onto the garden. There is a second shower room downstairs and the three remaining bedrooms (one with queensize bed and two inter-connecting twins) and a further bathroom are upstairs.
