Location: in Alles sur Dordogne, 7 kms west of le Buisson, 11 kms southwest of le Bugue.

Located opposite the village church, this substantial stone house has an exceptional setting overlooking the Dordogne River. The grounds include a spacious garden extending to the river banks with a pretty swimming pool, lawn, tall trees, flowering plants and shrubs. Adjacent to the house is a large arbored terrace with wood dining table. It’s the ideal spot at any time of day for relaxing and taking full advantage of the exceptional river and country views.
Inside, the house has been well renovated and features lovely honey-colored exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings. The décor is country casual with a combination of contemporary and wood pieces, and there are all conveniences.
On the ground level is an inviting dining room with French doors opening to the spacious arbored terrace. A wood chest compliments the country dining table and chairs for 8 people. A split wall separates the dining room from the large galley kitchen with tan tile walls, painted wood cabinets, good counter space and all appliances.
A short corridor leads to the living room with upholstered sofas and easy chairs grouped around a low wood table by a wood-burning stove set into the fireplace. Occasional tables, lamps, a wood desk and carpet complete this comfortable, casual room with French doors opening to a stone terrace.
Stairs off the kitchen lead to a landing where there are 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms are suites with full bathrooms. One of the twin bedrooms has its own full bathroom accessed on the hall. All of the bedrooms are pleasantly decorated with bedcovers, side table and lamps, as well as wood antique pieces and accent carpets. Several have river and country views.
The bathrooms all feature top quality fixtures, heated towel bars, terra cotta tile floors and lovely ceramic tilework. Additional toilet facilities are located downstairs.
A comfortable, country home with wonderful river and country views, and an easy drive to all the sights of the Dordogne.
Note: the church bell rings on the hour from 6 am – 10 pm.
In low season, the property can be rented for up to 6 people at a reduced rate.
