Dordogne, often referred by its ancient name “The Périgord”, offers one of the most gorgeous unspoiled countryside in France. You will find the greatest concentration of natural wonders and historic sites.
With its majestic Chateaux, its medieval villages and famous prehistoric caves, its heritage and authenticity are genuinely preserved. It’s the perfect land to explore and to be amazed. You will feel like stepping in Renaissance history. The area boasts France’s beloved gastronomic delights such as Foie Gras and locally produced wine, all can be savored locally for your visit to be unforgettable.
Ideally located near the lovely village of Rouffignac, where you will find local shops and restaurants, the charming country house is just a short drive to Le Bugue, a lively city with a busy open-air market on Tuesday and Saturday mornings.
Settled in 35 hectares of woodland and countryside with far uninterrupted views, the 18th Century old stone property has been carefully restored while keeping its historic charm and cozy atmosphere. Only accessible by a private driveway, the quiet farmhouse offers an “L shaped” main house and an adjacent independent cottage.
Entrance is into a bright and spacious living area with exposed-beams ceilings and terracotta floors. The comfortable sitting area features several sofas and chairs grouped in front of an open fireplace. A robust-wood dining table with two large benches opens onto a partly covered patio via two French doors. A study room is adjacent and can access outside to the front yard. The well-equipped kitchen leads onto the rear terrace with a big table and chairs to enjoy “al Fresco” dining. The terrace overlooks the sublime swimming pool surrounded by a sun deck.
Four pretty bedrooms with authentic terracotta floors and four refreshed bathrooms complete the main house. Each bedroom has two twin beds convertible to a king and an access outside. Each bathroom has a shower or a bathtub, a sink and a toilet.
Across the courtyard, the independent cottage has an open floor area with a vast living-dining area and a kitchen in a corner. As well as two bedrooms, both with twin beds, a shower room and a toilet.
An historic property to relax and share with family and friends.
