Dordogne, often referred by its historic name “The Périgord”, offers one of the most gorgeous unspoiled countryside in France. With its historic Chateaux, its medieval villages and its famous prehistoric caves, its heritage is well preserved and your visit will be really unforgettable. This gastronomic region will enchant you with a wide choice of renowned culinary specialties, such as Foie Gras, and famous locally wine, like the Saint Emilion.
On the edge of the tiny village of Siorac, just outside Annesse-et-Beaulieu, the magnificent Chateau Perigord has been beautifully and carefully remodeled to preserve its classic features. From fine wood paneling to Renaissance stone fireplaces, along with Family Crests and mosaic throughout, the Chateau is genuinely steeped in History. Just a short drive to Perigueux, one of the largest Renaissance town in France, the grandiose Cathedral of St Front is must see and still one of the stop along the pilgrimage route to Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle. The Chateau Perigord, whose origins date to the 16th-century, is one of the finest properties in our portfolio. Set in a 16-acre grounds, the Chateau overlooks a magnificent park with manicured lawns and polished trees. Next to the Chateau, a woodland with shady pathways, is especially enchanting in the fall when the colors are astounding.
The property can accommodate up to twelve people in six different bedrooms all beautifully renovated and decorated to provide high-end modern amenities while preserving their historic charm. On the main level, the entry hall leads to the polished living room with elegant sofas and chairs arranged around a wood coffee table in front of the large stone fireplace. Adjacent is the wood paneled dining room with an authentic Renaissance fireplace and a sublime wood table surrounded by antique chairs.
The spacious kitchen is well equipped and with a central wood island counter you will be able to cook all your favorite meals. A gorgeous bedroom with a queen size bed and on suite shower room complete that floor. Up the stairs, there are four more spectacular bedrooms suites, each with a full bathroom or a shower room, and a stunning reading room with frescos depicting scenes from the 18th Century. The bedrooms are all beautifully enhance with handsome fabrics, lovely bedcovers and curtains, carpets, antique tables and chests, antique engravings and paintings. The bathrooms, all with tubs or hand-held shower attachments, have fine ceramic fixtures as well as granite counters or tile work.
All the bedrooms have one large bed (queen or king size) except one with two queen beds. For your entertainment, a billiard room with a full sized table, concludes that floor. The last stunning bedroom, on an upper floor, has a queen size bed, a dressing room and on suite bathroom with shower cubicle. All the bedrooms have access to toilets facilities. Adjacent to the property is a beautiful swimming pool and a dining area with barbecue. There are wonderful views of the countryside to enjoy both inside and out.
