Dordogne, often referred by its ancient name “The Périgord”, offers one of the most gorgeous unspoiled countryside in France. You will find the greatest concentration of natural wonders and historic sites. With its majestic Chateaux, its medieval villages and famous prehistoric caves, its heritage and authenticity are genuinely preserved. It’s the perfect land to explore and to be amazed. You will feel like stepping in Renaissance history. The area boasts France’s beloved gastronomic delights such as Foie Gras and locally produced wine, all can be savored locally for your visit to be unforgettable.
Ideally located in the heart of the medieval village where you will find many shops, cafés, restaurants and a lively covered market held in the 15th Century Place d’Armes, the charming house is the perfect base to explore the area. The famous medieval towns of Sarlat, Perigueux and Monpazier are nearby and definitely worth a visit. Only a short drive to the Dordogne River you will be able to enjoy outdoors water sports such as canoeing and swimming.
Inside the village-house has been fully restored providing comfortable furnishings with rustic accents. The front door leads to a hallway and a cute well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast area. Adjacent is an open living area with hardwood floor, a bold red sofa in front of a fireplace, a small coffee table and a dining table. A separate toilet is off the hallways. Up the stairs leads to a double bedroom with a fire place, and a single bedroom. Both are simply decorated and have an authentic hardwood floor. A renovated bathroom with a tub, a sink and a toilet, completes this floor.
Outside a small garden, mostly lawn, stretches around the property.
