Beaune is the capital of Burgundy’s prestigious wine industry and home to many, famous- name wine domains where you are always welcome to visit the cellars and enjoy tasting their highly prized wines.This picturesque walled town hosts a year-round calendar of events from the internationally acclaimed Baroque Orchestral and Opera Festival throughout July, to the world famous wine auction held each November for the Hospice de Beaune. There are over 50 restaurants with-in easy walking distance, including several Michelin star holders, not to mention the many wine bars and cafes, as well as museums and art galleries that line the cobbled streets.
Beaune Porte St Nicolas is the impressive stone archway that forms the north entrance to the beautiful, medieval city of Beaune. Situated inside the gate, this historic, second floor apartment oozes French sophistication and offers a luxurious standard of accommodation in a perfect location.
Entering this Ancient building from the Streets of old Beaune, follow the Main Hall and up through the stairs to the second floor apartment you will find a pretty ‘French’ entrance door.
