Location: 3.8 kms from the center of St-Rémy-de-Provence, 22 kms south of Avignon

St-Rémy-de-Provence just may be the quintessential Provençal town with its graceful plane-tree shaded avenues, lively shops, weekly open-air market, fascinating Roman ruins and majestic views of the Alpilles. And this lovely cottage with stucco façade and red tile roof is a marvelous place to enjoy the delights of St-Rémy as well as all the sights of Provence.

The cottage is set within the grounds of the congenial owner's estate, dating back to the nineteenth century. Comprising over three acres, the park is surrounded by trees and is magnificently landscaped including an olive grove, lawn, cypress and fruit trees, oleander, pampas grass and just about every imaginable flowering plant and shrub. Set away from both the cottage and the main house is a lovely swimming pool shared with the owner when in residence. The cottage also features a private garden and terrace area with outdoor dining and lounging furniture.

Built on a single story, the cottage is designed in the best Provencal tradition, built with quality materials and includes all comforts and conveniences. It is decorated with a combination of gracious contemporary and antique furnishings.

Entry is into the handsome living room with brown upholstered sofa and two armchairs grouped around a dark wood coffee table. Antique chests, tapestries, wood accents and pretty lamps are warm accents. To the left of the entry and through an archway from the living area is the kitchen with granite topped wood dining table and chairs. The well-equipped kitchen has oak cabinets and plenty of preparation space.

The cottage has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath, all accessed by a hall off the living room. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated with antique armoires, side tables, chests, lovely bedcovers and curtains. The bathroom is located between the bedrooms and has a large shower, double sinks and toilet facilities.

Note: the owner lives in an adjacent house, and the pool is shared when the owner is in residence. Adults only (18 years or older).
