Location: 4 kms from L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, 25 kms east of Avignon

Among the most picturesque towns, L'Isle-sur-la Sorgue is the "Venice of Provence." The Sorgue River meanders through its historic center with an array of shops, cafés and restaurants. The town is most celebrated for its fine antique dealers attracting amateurs and professionals from around the world. And its lively Sunday market is not to be missed. And from its highly central location, you are perfectly positioned for day trips throughout Provence.

Located a short drive from town, this modern home is built in the local style and sports a sandy façade, sea green shutters and clay tile roof. It is set in a large enclosed garden featuring a swimming pool, expansive natural lawn, flowers, shrubs, as well as olive, cypress, pine, and other mature trees. Adjacent to the house is a large covered terrace with outdoor dining furniture. And there are several other dining tables scattered throughout the garden, providing the perfect spots throughout the day to enjoy al fresco drinks or meals and the mountain views in the distance.

Inside, the house is light and bright with pastel and white walls, large windows and ceramic tile and wood floors. It is well designed and attractively decorated with casual contemporary furnishings, carpets and antique wood pieces.

To the left of the entry is the open-plan living dining room. In the sitting area an upholstered sofa and period-style easy chairs are grouped around a glass-topped coffee table near the fireplace. Occasional tables and lamps complement this comfortable room. Adjacent is the dining area with wood table and upholstered chairs for 6 people. Doors from both the living and dining areas lead to the well-equipped kitchen with pretty yellow cabinets, tile counters and all appliances. A rolling cart with wood top serves as a center island providing extra preparation space. French doors open from the living and dining areas and from the kitchen to the covered terrace, garden and pool.

There are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The bedrooms are all decorated with pretty quilts, curtains, bedside tables and lamps. The tiled bathrooms are complete with showers, sinks and toilet facilities.

On the ground level are two bedrooms down a corridor off the living room. One has a double bed, ensuite bathroom with shower and French doors opening to the front gravel courtyard. Further down the corridor is a queen suite with traditional wood-beamed and plaster ceiling. The suite is spacious and light featuring an arched glass and wrought-iron door opening to the gravel courtyard. Antique armoires, a café table and chairs are charming accents. The ensuite bathroom includes a shower, sink and toilet. Stairs from the entry lead to the third bedroom with king bed. It is also spacious and light and features pastel walls, wood floor and antique chests. Adjacent on the hall is the bathroom with American-style tub with shower and double sinks. Toilet facilities are separate.

A very comfortable and appealing home close to a celebrated Provençal town.

Note: For parties of 7-8 people, a fourth bedroom with double bed on the ground level is available.
