Located at the foot of majestic Mont Ventoux, this 18th-century farmhouse was formerly an old wool mill, and the mill stream still runs nearby. The property is now part of one of the region's premier wine estates producing award-winning AOC Côtes du Ventoux wines. As part of your stay, you will be welcomed at the vineyard for a private wine tasting. Within short driving distance are several villages, where you'll find bakeries, grocers, cafés and restaurants. And Carpentras, a lively and historic town with a full range of shops, cafés, restaurants, supermarkets and Friday open-air market, is also closeby.

Set amidst vineyards, pine and oak woods, the property boasts shady and sunny terraces with outdoor dining furniture close to the house as well as a spacious natural garden with large grassy areas. Stone stairs go up to the swimming pool, from where you'll enjoy beautiful vineyard and valley views. A small summer kitchen with sink and refrigerator makes meals by the pool more convenient.

Inside, the old stone farmhouse has been well renovated and retains traditional features such as wood-beamed ceilings, tall windows and terra cotta tile floors. Ocher and pastel walls are the backdrop for antique chests, tables and armoires along with casual contemporary furnishings.

Stone stairs from the garden lead to a large entry hall with glass-topped wrought-iron table, painted armoire and several chairs. Straight off the hall is a spacious living room with stone fireplace. It is light and bright with several sets of windows framed by colorful drapes, one of which opens to a small terrace. In the sitting area is an upholstered sectional sofa and easy chair grouped by a glass-topped wrought-iron coffee table near the fireplace. Behind is a round wood table with upholstered chairs perfect for casual meals or a friendly game of cards. Near the table are bookshelves and an antique chest.

A door by the bookshelves leads to a family kitchen with white cabinets, a breakfast table and door opening to the small terrace. This leads to another larger kitchen with additional cabinets and counter space. The kitchens can also be accessed from the entry hall. Together, the kitchens are equipped with a large refrigerator, two cooktops (gas and electric), an electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and two sinks. They offer ample preparation space for several cooks.

Also on this level to the right of the entry is a formal dining room with long marble-topped dining table and wrought-iron chairs with comfortable cushions. It is light and bright with colorful walls and three large windows overlooking the courtyard and grounds.

There are a total of 4 bedrooms, each with ensuite bathroom. The bedrooms are all well decorated with colorful walls and curtains, bedcovers, bedside tables, lamps and armoires. The ensuite bathrooms all feature double sinks and tubs or showers. Three have toilet facilities. There are also two separate toilets. Two of the bedroom suites are on the entry level. Left of the entry is a large master suite with queen bed and sitting area with upholstered chairs. The adjoining bathroom includes separate tub and shower, double sinks and toilet. To the right of the entry is a twin-bedded suite with tub, double sinks and toilet.

Stairs off the entry go down to two more queen bedroom suites and an additional bathroom. One of the suites has a full bathroom with tub, double sinks and toilet facilities. The other has an ensuite tub and double sinks. The additional bathroom with toilet facilities and shower is nearby on the hall.

A lovely property in the Ventoux wine country, of particular interest to wine amateurs and connaisseurs alike.
