Location: 3 kms from le Buisson, 10 kms from le Bugue

The village of le Buisson is perfectly positioned on the Dordogne River. Its central location makes it an ideal home base for day trips throughout the region. In the village, you'll find bakeries, cafés, restaurants, small grocers and a weekly open-air market every Friday. And larger towns and scenic villages are all easy drives.

Set in three-acre grounds just a short drive from le Buisson, this old stone farmhouse has been lovingly renovated and restored. In classic Périgourdine style, it boasts a beautiful honey-colored stone façade and wood shutters. The property features a pretty swimming pool set below the house surrounded by a large natural garden with lawn and a variety of trees. Adjacent to the house overlooking the pool is a spacious covered terrace with wood dining table and chairs. It's the ideal spot for outdoor meals and taking full advantage of the picturesque country views.

Inside, the house has retained its traditional Périgourdine architectural features with dark wood and beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls and both clay tile and wood floors. It is pleasantly furnished with casual contemporary pieces.

Entry is into the open-plan dining area with kitchen. In the dining area is a wood table with chairs for 4 people. A large butcher-block topped cabinet separates it from the galley kitchen, well-designed and equipped. To the left of the kitchen is the living-dining room with French doors opening to the covered terrace in front and another small terrace in the back.

In the sitting area a blue upholstered sofa and rattan chairs are set by the massive stone fireplace with small tables and lamps completing the room. Adjacent is the dining area with wood dining table and chairs.

A stone archway opens to a corridor leading to 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The bedrooms are nicely decorated with colorful bedcovers and modern armoires. The bathrooms, newly redone, include white ceramic-tiled showers, vessel sinks with vanities and toilet facilities. Along the corridor is a bedroom with double bed and one of the bathrooms. Stairs from the corridor lead to a bedroom with queen bed convertible to twins. The corridor continues to a wing with a queen bedroom and bathroom.

A house with great Périgourdine character and an excellent value.
